As a newly established nonprofit organization, Ark of Freedom, we engaged Tina Turner for her expertise in developing an extensive business proposal to support the expansion of housing and treatment services for women who have experienced trafficking and are facing substance use challenges. Prior to attending one of our board meetings, Ms. Turner provided a PowerPoint presentation introducing her organization and its range of services. Following this introduction, the Board agreed to contract with her to prepare a comprehensive proposal targeting a funder dedicated to supporting housing and treatment initiatives for trafficked women. During the proposal development process, Ms. Turner facilitated a focus group as a means to conduct a SWOT analysis with board members, resulting in valuable insights and a strategic roadmap for the organization’s future steps. These findings were incorporated into the final version of the business proposal. The completed proposal demonstrated a high level of precision and was delivered within the agreed timeline.
